Kiran Rao is not at all upset with mixed reviews on her directorial debut Dhobi Ghat, which released this week. The director says that her film was made for a particular target group so she is not bothered by the negative reviews from a particular section.

Rao says that her film was made for those who liked it and those were her target audience. Aamir Khan's filmmaker wife says that she always maintained that her film was not meant for everyone's taste. She says that she has heard different opinion about her film and enjoyed some of the reviews. Some of the reviews were not the favour of her film but she is happy that some other also liked it.

Kiran says that Dhobi Ghat is an unusual film and it was well expected that some will not enjoy watching it. She is happy her target audience likes the film.

Dhobi Ghat gives a different representation of Mumbai. Her film tries to represent the city in its true colours through the stories of her four main characters played by Prateik Babbar, Aamir Khan, Monica Dogra and Kriti Malhotra. The lives of all these characters change forever when their worlds intersect.

Kiran is in all praise for the young actor Prateik, who garnered some positive reviews from everyone for his wonderful performance.

A source reveals that lots of audience came to watch the film on the opening day in PVR.
